GARMENT AND PROUCT DESIGN
- Design Support
- Specification Sheets
- Technical Packs
- Range Plan Catalogue
- Collection Development
Our team works with brands to prepare their designs for sampling and production.
This includes translating design inspiration into practical garments with consideration to make and wear. Prior to sampling, a design is planned and digitised into technical drawings for spec sheets or technical packs before patterns can be developed.
SAMPLING
- Draft Patternmaking
- Pattern Grading
- Toile Development
- Prototype Fit Testing
- Finished Garment Samples
Getting a garment prepared for production means having a tested prototype approved before grading to additional sizes. Sampling starts with a draft pattern followed by a toile sample for review before a complete finished garment. When reviewing samples consideration is given to the fit, drape, function and construction to ensure the garment is ready for bulk production.
SOURCING
- Fabric Specialty Sourcing
- Fabric Swatch Book
- Fabric Printing / Dye Services
- Trims and Accessories Sourcing
- Label and Hang Tag Sourcing
When preparing a production order, consideration will need to be given to the total fabric required for the order quantity and size range. Trims will also be pre-ordered in order to complete the design, including; threads, buttons, zips, elastics, interfacings and any other accessories.
When sourcing fabrics and specialty print or dye services, it is advised to start early and order test samples and fabric swatches during the design development stage. This allows time to consider the fabric behaviour and suitability to the design.
